Dr. Christoph Gosdenoz, CFA

Christoph Gosdenoz

Partner and chairman of the board at FairCapital, based in Switzerland, with more than 20 years of international work experience. Before co-founding FairCapital, Christoph has worked in impact investing, entrepreneurial finance, mergers and acquisitions, investment analysis and risk management. Having worked several years as an independent consultant and impact investor, former employers include UBS in Zurich and Mexico as well as BNP Paribas in Geneva and Singapore.

Christoph Gosdenoz graduated with a Master of Science in Business Administration from the University of Geneva, is a CFA charterholder and holds a Doctor of Business Administration from the Edinburgh Business School. He has completed several teaching and research assignments at top business schools and leading financial institutions. Christoph is fluent in English, German, French and Spanish.

Arthur Crespo

Arthur Crespo

Partner at FairCapital, based in Colombia, with more than 10 years of international work experience. Before joining FairCapital as Head of the Latin America operations, Arthur has worked in impact investing, investment analysis, investor reporting, performance analysis, as well as financial valuation, pricing and cost management, and capital transactions including several strategic financing rounds in the agriculture and food sector. Former employers include AlphaMundi in Switzerland and Colombia, Kiwa in Ecuador, as well as Terrafertil in the Americas and Europe, accompanying them during a successful acquisition process by Nestlé.

Arthur Crespo graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Applied Sciences in Vaud (HEIG-VD, Switzerland), and holds a diploma in Sustainable Finance from the University of Applied Sciences in Geneva (HEG, Switzerland). Arthur is fluent in English, French, Spanish, with a good level of Italian.

Marie-Noëlle Jerschke

Marie-Noëlle Jerschke

Associate Partner and board member at FairCapital, based in Switzerland, with more than 20 years of international work experience. Before co-founding FairCapital, Marie-Noëlle has worked in mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance and business development. Having worked several years as an independent consultant and impact investor, former employers include JP Morgan in London and Paris, Groupe Danone in France and LOT Airlines in Poland.

Marie-Noëlle Jerschke graduated from HEC Paris with a Master in Management including a semester in the MBA program of Columbia Business School in New York. She followed the JP Morgan Investment Banking Training Program in New York and complemented her education with a Certificate of Advanced Studies in Management at the University of St. Gallen (ES-HSG). Marie-Noëlle is fluent in English, French, German and Polish.

Vanessa Pino

Mandated as Senior Financial Analyst for FairCapital, based in Colombia, with more than 7 years of work experience. Before joining FairCapital, Vanessa has worked in business development in the financial sector, business administration, credit management and financial analysis. Former employers include Davivienda Bank, Incauca SA, as well as Cemento San Marcos in Colombia.

Vanessa Pino graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration from the San Buenaventura University, and holds a diploma in Credit and Portfolio Management from ICESI University, both in Cali, Colombia. She had the opportunity to live in the United States, as part of a cultural exchange program, where she studied an ESL course in Columbia College (Virginia, USA) and Business Communication in Georgetown University (Washington DC, USA). Vanessa is fluent in English and Spanish.

Damian Durrer

Damian Durrer

Mandated as Regional Manager for FairCapital, based in Rwanda, with more than 7 years of work experience. Damian is evaluating investment opportunities for FairCapital in Africa and supports the management team with business development activities. He also works part-time as a Project Manager at Fairtrade Max Havelaar Switzerland. Before working for FairCapital and Fairtrade Max Havelaar, he has been a Risk Control Analyst in the Global Corporate Credit Risk Team at UBS in Zürich.

Further, he has done internships in Management Consulting in Switzerland (Horváth) and Development Cooperation in Brasil and the Senegal (Cáritas de Crateús, Agri Bio/Fastenopfer). Damian has a Bachelor's Degree in Economics and Finance from the University of Zurich and a Master's Degree in Statistics from ETH Zurich. Damian is fluent in English and German, with a good level of Portuguese and French.

Fabián Mendez

Fabián Mendez

Mandated as Senior Financial Analyst for FairCapital, based in Colombia, with more than 5 years of work experience. Before joining FairCapital, Fabián has worked in business development in the financial sector, cost calculation, financial analysis and evaluation of engineering projects, accounting processes, demand planning monitoring and cost management trainings. Former employers include Colgate-Palmolive’s Andean hub, as well as Icesi University in Cali.

Fabián Mendez graduated with two Bachelors of Economics and International Negotiation, as well as Business Administration, both from the Icesi University. Fabian had the opportunity to live in Canada, as a part of an English exchange program in the Canadian Learning Language College (Ottawa, Canada). Fabian is fluent in English, Spanish, with a basic level of Portuguese.

Pauline Moser

Pauline Moser

Mandated as Business Analyst for FairCapital, based in Switzerland. Before joining FairCapital as Impact Investment Trainee, Pauline was involved in several early-stage companies to support their business development. Former employers include a Swiss-based start-up distributing and financing solar energy in emerging markets. For her bachelor thesis, Pauline conducted a market research for a Guatemalan-Swiss social enterprise during one year, with field research in Guatemala for several months.

Pauline Moser graduates with a Bachelor in Business Administration from the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland. During her studies, she was part of the Social Business Club to raise awareness on high-impact entrepreneurship among fellow students. Pauline is fluent in English, French, German and Spanish.

Andrés Alvarez

Mandated as Financial Analyst for FairCapital, based in Colombia, with more than 4 years of work experience. Before joining FairCapital, Andres has worked in business development in the consumer sector, financial modeling and analysis, accounting processes, working capital projections and accounts receivables registry and surveillance. Former employers include Colgate-Palmolive’s Andean hub, as well as Super Fraps SAS.

Andres Alvarez graduated with a Bachelor of Economics and International Negotiation from the Icesi University in Cali, Colombia. Andres had the opportunity to live in France, first as a French learning international student in the Université Paul Cezanne Aix-Marseille (Aix-en-Provence, France) and then as a part of a university exchange program in the École Supérieure des Sciences Commerciales d’Angers (Angers, France). Andres is fluent in Spanish, English, French, with a basic level of Italian.

Before joining FairCapital, Alexandre has worked in corporate finance, accounting, credit analysis and private banking. Former employers include Biz Latin Hub Group and UBS Switzerland.

Alexandre Guye-Bergeret graduated with a Bachelor in Business Administration, and is a Master candidate in Accounting and Corporate Finance at the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland. He had the opportunity to study at the UPB in Medellín, Colombia, and at the Luiss in Rome, Italy, as part of academic exchange programs. During his studies, he was a board member of the Sustainable Investment Club, as an initiative to promote sustainability within the financial sector and to create awareness among students. Alexandre is fluent in English, French, German, Spanish, with a basic level of Italian.

Beatriz Arisala

Beatriz Arisala

Mandated as Financial Analyst for FairCapital, based in Colombia, with more than 2 years of work experience. Before joining FairCapital, Beatriz has worked in accounting in both the real estate and retail sectors. In addition, she volunteered in a program with AIESEC and taught Spanish to rural communities in Natal, Brasil. Former employers include Proper Technologies in the United States, as well as Almacenes La 14 in Colombia.

Beatriz graduated with a Bachelor in Accounting and Finance from the Icesi University in Cali, Colombia. She had the opportunity to live in the United States as part of a cultural exchange program, where she completed a Corporate Finance certificate from a program at Columbia University. Beatriz is fluent in English, Spanish, with a basic level of Portuguese.
